Easy to follow along, in this beginner ukulele lesson, you can learn five strumming patterns you can use to play thousands of different songs on ukulele. These ukulele strumming patterns are versatile, simple and work for most songs.
This is a terrific ukulele tutorial of the song Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye. There are only three chords in this song for the chorus and verses. Todd also does a great job of walking you through the ukulele picking patterns and it’s a great song to get started with finger picking on the ukulele. Happy strumming!
The Ukulele Teacher teaches us the Hozier song Take Me to Church with this terrific ukulele tutorial. There are seven ukulele chords in this song – Em, Am G, D, C, Cm, and B7. It’s an easy, nice and slow strumming pattern with a simple single downstroke for the strumming pattern to start off with. A great song to learn especially if you are just beginning with bar chords. I love the way this song sounds on the ukulele. Thanks to Dannilo for this ukulele tutorial of the Colbie Caillat song I Do. The song is just four chords starting off with the ukulele F chord, then B minor, then D minor, and then a C. The strum pattern is what makes the song which includes up strumming and chucking.
